How many of you guys like the Mercedes star stciking out of the hood? I actually like it.

As far as i know it's called the defensive driver package, but thats all i know about it. Besides that it eliminates slow people in my way. Do we ever have to have it serviced or something?

 

Not that I know of, but every morning theres a camo painted Hummer in the driveway unloading huge crates or something...

i don't have a comand book because my car is too old, but in my manuel , it does have something about supplemental, MV-124, i think mine is the prototype version or something. MV - military vehicle?

-disclaimer

 

i don't know my friend, i think you and i have discovered something that can help mankind, or atleast our quest for world domination.

Blowing people up in our way sounds good too, I think we'll have to start a poll or something to also get a count of who else has the Military Defensive Driver Package.

I love the hoodstar. Whenever I ride in a MB sedan, if im bored I just stare at it. I dont know why but it just looks cool.

 

Think the hood star is what makes an MB look unique. I remember seeing them all the way back 1950 while visiting my uncle in Hong Kong. He had an MB stretched limo or sorts with the hood star and the signals on the sides of the car that act like semaphores.

 

It's a subjective thing, but I think it is a somewhat more sporty look with an emblem on the hood instead of above it. But, the latter may give a more elegant look to those owners who prefer it.

Yeah, I don't know why but for me, it just has to be there. I love riding or driving a benz with the star sticking out of the hood.
