Let us see a photo of the "after". I agree with Peter that here in N.A. cost would be closer to $2,000.

glad there were no out of pocket costs for you. Not always a need to take the entire bumper off, previous estimates on here are a bit high IMO.
Not sure what area you are in, but I am in CT and negotiated for $500 to repair the back bumper of my c300; lots of sanding and primer/paint but all done with bumper mounted. There are other services such as http://www.colorsonparade.com/ which will do on-site repairs for less than a traditional body shop.

Looks good, but in my opinion for such a low amount you should have paid for it yourself. Now the car will show up as having been in an accident under any of the checking services resulting in less value in a trade/sell scenario.

No way in hell i was paying $820 for something someone else did to my car. Very true about the resell buttttt. I'll have this post and pictures if I ever do sell it anytime. My front bumper started to have clear coat flaking and the shop resprayed the whole front end. And I plan on keeping the c230 as long as possible in hope to buy a daily driver to turn the 230 into a show car
