Air conditioning defects

My air conditioning was working but not blowing out cold air.
The Mercedes garage carried out a pressure test and it passed and they re gassed and also replaced a ventilator.
Upon return, I found the air conditioning was not working at all. I returned it to the Mercedes garage immediately, and they said there was now a leak. I would have to now pay for additional costs of a new valve, condenser and valve.
This is an additional significant cost.
It seems to me that the garage should meet this cost, because the leak was caused by their works. But I'd like some advice or opinion on this please.
The car is ten years old but only has 30,000 miles on it
