Nevermind...so my headlights switch was not in the straight up off position which caused this. New Mercedes owner here...how weird that this was the reason!

See attached pic of headlight switch. Now I'm no car technician, but I've never owned a car that had parking lights for one side or the other. I had the switch just to the left of the center "off" position is what happened.
Is this a N.A. car? If I'm understanding you, you would have no signal lights at night because the light switch is in a "non upright" position. Makes no sense to me.
