2002 Mercedes C240
Stuck in Limp Mode
I have a 02 C240. It is stuck in limp mode (won't shift out of first gear) and also once you get it into drive, it won't shift past neutral. So I have to let off the brake and then shift it into park.
I had the trans range sensor replaced because that's the code that came up when my mechanic checked it - a hefty $500. Please help me figure out what is going on here!! Could it be a possible solenoid??

2002 Mercedes C240
Could it be the shift module and how much would that cost??

'Check Engine' light is NOT on.
