Did anyone have a loaner / courtesy car from MB if yes for how long?
Hi,
I placed my initial factory order on the 4th of November in the UK,
I have informed the dealer prior of the purchase that my current car contract expired on the 23rd of December and I need a car asap after that date.
The dealer said that the new car should be ready around Jan/ Feb (I should have gotten this in writing), thus I went ahead with the order,
I was expecting to be without a car for two months max.
I was then told from the dealer that the order would be ready around the first week of April then I was given an extended delivery day of 24th of April,
I managed to extend my current lease to the 23rd Of Jan (to bring the waiting time down to 3 months instead of 4 months now)
I have asked the dealer for a courtesy car/ loaner because of the situation and they said they can only give one for two weeks...mb customer assistance says they cant help cause the delivery is on track (when its not and I have been told a different story about a day from the dealer prior purchase).
I was hoping to get a courtesy car for a month because of the situation..
Did anyone have a courtesy car for this duration ? Is this something that a dealer can do ?
MC customer services are not very helpful so far but was planning to give it one more attempt today (speak to them and the dealer)
Any advise?
I am spending a significant amount of money on this and I have hoped that my new car experience could have been as stress free as possible .
They are giving me the option to cancel because of the inconvenience and get my deposit back but this is not great either as I wouldn't probably get a later delivery date from another dealer at this stage anyway ..
