DEFA 13 amp 120 v socket in my front grille
Does anyone have any idea what the DEFA 3 prong socket is for on the front grille of my 2014 ML350? It has a plastic cove and 3 prongs inside.

Howdy,
I'm kinda surprised nobody answered you before this. That socket is very likely the plug for a power cord for the engine heater. If you look on the inside fender well of the engine compartment, you "should" find a coiled up power cord. If not, you can order one.
European site (caution: 220V, 110V is issued for North America) http://old.defa.com/en/automotive/warmup/find_your_engine_heater/
Cheers,
Mike
