meter stop at 999999

meter stop at 999999
My Mercedes Benz car meter run over 1 million KM today. But , strange the meter stop at 999999 and no further moving. It is a good car and I will keep driving it, but, means without meter. What can I do with it. My car is E240 plate number 8C-2777 in Taiwan since August 2001.
