What do you think of the current Mercedes-Benz TV commercials? I just found they can be viewed under the 'gallery' section of any model at www.mbusa.com. I love the one involving the old Mercedes sedan about to be crushed. Images from the car's entire life flash before the windshield, ending with the presentation of new C-Class ("the outside may change, but the soul remains the same"). As the 18-month owner of a 15 year-old BMW, I often think of the many owners this car has served. It's nice to imagine a time when my car held the same dignity and prestige a new 530i has today. Hopefully it has a lot of life left before it meets the same humble ending as that Mercedes.

I like the SL commercial as well--beautifully and innovatively done.

How do I download those commercials to my computer? I can only view them but I really want to save them so I can enjoy them anytime I want.

Yup, it was a G-class in that Pepsi/Cindy Crawford commercial. No doubt about that.

Have you seen the commercial for the MB road service? A guy sees a bunch of girls on the side of the road, and their car is broke down. He imagine the girls all over him as he looks at their car, but then he keeps driving because he is with MB road service and there's a guy with a CLK that has a flat.

My description probably sucks, but the commercial is pretty funny!

Also, the M class commercial with the hurricane. The guy wakes up his son (?) in the middle of the night and tells him "come on, we have to go". They rush out to their M class and drive away. Next scene they are pulling up by the ocean and pulling out their surf boards, and then it ends with them running into the waves.

guys if you want to download the 5 commercials you can go to your temperary internet file and look for them after you watch them. after you find them in your temperary internet files you can just copy and paste into the folder you want to save to.

The "Reincarnation" C-class commercial might possibly be the best car commercial I've ever seen. Very emotional, very well-done. It gives me goosebumps.

mbtech208, I absolutely agree with you! I feel the same way when I watch it. M-B hit that one right on the head.

I feel as strongly as I do partly because I drive a 16 year-old BMW 528e. I can look in the owner's manual and see the dealer (Richmond BMW), delivery date, and original owner's name printed out by hand. I can only imagine how nice (and prestigious) the car once was. It cost nearly $30,000 1986-dollars. In November of 2000 I bought it for (gulp)--$3,800--from my mechanic, with 250,000 miles (engine nearly-new though).

When you think of all the owners (of varying incomes!) the car has had and all the miles it's safely covered, you feel an immense respect for the car. I treat it as carefully as possible.

Seeing that old Mercedes being unceremoniously crushed is quite heart-wrenching.

Kudos to the MB promo dept. for the C class commercial.

I forwarded the series to a couple of journalists; the C car was their favorite pick as well. It brings out so many human sentimental emotions, - just in a few split seconds. Expertly done!

graig i paid some one to do it for me just got it few days ago

but i been getting lotta complaints saying its too big imma change it soon maybe tonight or so have this guy working on merceds related one

Yeah, that second one looks all right. The first one does look a bit big, but it's much sharper and cleaner-looking than the second one.

graig my friend the first one was the entertainment logo i dont think it fits here so i got the second one i really do like the second one considering it only cost me a lunch at dalts rest.
