How much is it going to run me for Service B on my CL500? I know some people suggest doing it yourself...but I have an aftermarket warranty and am not sure if this may void it. At the very least, Id love to take it someplace other than dealer who will at least know what they are doing yet will cost a lot less. Any ideas?

On a CL, service B isn't much more than Serivce A.

The B service on a CL includes:

- Change your vehicle's engine oil and filter
- Replace the the active charcoal filter
- Replace windshield wiper inserts
- Lubricate and inspect throttle linkage
- Ensure the parking brake, steering play, headlamps and exterior lamps, warning and indicator lamps, horn, windshield/headlamp wiper and washer systems, seat belts,are functioning correctly
- Inspect tires and check tire pressure (including spare)
- Inspect brake pad thickness and disc condition
- Inspect front axle ball joints and Poly-V-belt
- Check and correct all fluid levels
- Rotate tires if applicable
- Reset your vehicle's FSS counter


I'm not aware of any aftermarket warranty that would be vided doing this yourself if you wanted. Just keep records and invoices.

If you want to have an independant shop do this, it isn't a problem either.
