Question Which do you prefer?

Front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive?

Please explain why you prefer one rather than the other in dry/wet/snow conditions.

RWD - the car feels more stable and balanced in corners. The engine torque characteristics 'feel' better as well....(unless it's a FWD with a longitudinal mounted engine). Easier to work on.

front wheel drive, it handles better in snow... believe me, i felt safer in a 96 toyota camry front wheel drive with no studded tires on than my moms old 97 c230 with studded tires....

Considering the state I live in, RWD. I like it for control and there's no steering wheel struggle under heavy acceleration. I drove a 93 SE Maxima for three years that had a stick and was FWD. It was a good car, but the FWD got on my nerves sometimes. As far as wet traction under acceleration, it's been my experience you can lose it just as easy with either RWD or FWD.

If you have nothing to say, it is better to say nothing.
