As you can see I'm quite new here, but I would like to share with you an interesting idea which came to my mind, because I'm lazy
Few months ago I acquired 1995 SL500 (R129) which needed a lot of work to drive again. Overall condition was fine, but "devil is hidden in details", right?
It was so annoying for me to count those LED blinks to check all my dream car faulty codes. So I decided to use my engineering skills and design (from what I had in my workshop) this small Mercedes Code Reader with electronic counter.
Every time when I push the button for 2-3 seconds my small circuit will count how many times LED blinked. Then when pushed for 8 seconds the error is gone.
Code Reader with Counter
Please tell me what do you think about this project?
I believe it could be suitable for many different models from 1988 till around 1996 which are using 8, 16 or 38 pin connectors.
Would you like to see how does it work in a short video?
