C450 sedan or c300 coupe
Hi guys, I’m planning on purchasing a w205/c205.
I have two options:
1) 2016 c450 sedan with 43k miles (~$38k): have AMG steering, red stitched seats, premium package, night package, pano roof, multimedia package, ash wood trim etc
2) 2017 c300 coupe with 28k miles(~$34k): AMG package, night package, standard black interior, premium package 1, no touch pad and small screen, piano black trim etc
my question is which one would you guys suggest I should go with and why?
Furthermore, can I change the screen and the center console black piano trim to ash trim on the c300 coupe?
Edit: is $34k reasonable for c300 coupe?if the car market was not like it is right now how much should it be?
Thanks in advance!!!

I am biased on the C 450 and C 43 so I would go with that. That said, the C 300 is a great vehicle too. Just the M276 in the C 450 and C 43 will be more reliable and not to mention the extra power is worth it.
As for the piano trim.... someone posted a way to swap it:

Alternatively and the easier way is to just wrap it.

That really comes down to your wants and needs. Do you want the extra power of the C450? It is a significant difference from the 2.0T in the C300. Do you want the Coupe body styling more than the engine? Are the rear seats a necessity for you?

In what way is the M276 more reliable than the 2.0T in c300?

M276 DELA 30 (So 3.0L V6 BiTURBO) in the C 450 is an older engine, technology is more mature compared to the the M274 in the C 300 and unfortunately the M274 has cases of piston cracking, although it is unlikely you will have issues (I seen posts of owners with over 100K miles with zero issues) but there is certainly a risk. The M276 itself (not just the DLEA 30) has been used in many MBs from different classes including the non turbocharged ones.

Why is this even a question?
You're looking at 2 cars that will virtually will drive the same (some size releted specs below).. Actually not... The Sedan will feel like more of a sports car than the coupe...
So unless you can come up with any service/repair/reliability related issues, the sedan would take my vote.
Good luck with either.
2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 Coupe and C300 4MATIC Coupe Specifications ;
Length. 184.5
Width (w/o mirrors). 71.3
Height. 55.3.
Wheelbase ; 111.8 in
2016 C450 Sedan
Length: 185.0 in.
Overall Width with Mirrors, 79.0 in.
Overall Width without Mirrors, 71.3 in.
Height, 56.8 in.
Wheel base, 111.8 in
