Changing Center Console 95% done...

Can someone tell me if the 2017 C300 center console comes in Black Ash without the Clock? Or does the W205 not offer Black Ash without clock? I found this part number, 2056804506 , from the 17 C300 for my 15 C300. Seems to be a little cheaper than the black ash center console from the GLC.

Today I switched out my piano black console with the black ash on my C300. The part number is 2536806802 for the black ash and it is from the GLC.

I bought this to replace my piano black. Fits perfectly and took 10 minutes to fit.

Just a thought...
Would it make any sense to install a smart watch like samsung gear or Apple watch or other if the diameter fits?
This should of course only be on when the car is on and turn off when you pull the key.
For the charger of eg. Gear S3, it could be challenge to have this fit because of the way it is attached.
And most watches will show a "charging" while charging, but maybe an on/off contact could solve this when it does not need to be charged.
Can anyone tell what the diameter of the Mb clock is?

I know it is not pretty, but at least I think that it fits (38 mm)

I did same, but could be much cheaper if GLC console is used (without clock and switch block replacement)

So the ever posted topic of changing the center console in the US from Piano Black to Ash Wood with a Clock is almost done. The only thing missing right now is the functioning clock, the dealer is doing the research right now and once the (custom)harness is ordered and in, the car will go back for install and coding.

Newbie
Changed to Black Ash from Piano Black Console Trim -- NO CLOCK
I know this thread is several years old, but it, along with a few others, were very helpful in changing my center console trim from the awful piano black to the beautiful matte, open-grain black ash wood trim.
The workaround for the clock issue is very simple: use the MB OEM GLC trim part (part number 253-680-68-02), which isn’t fitted with a clock. It works/fits perfectly in my 2018 C300 AMG Line.
Im not a mechanic, and I found the installation process simple after watching a few videos on how to take the console apart. Simply, remove the console trim piece, unscrew two screws, pull the whole console trim unit out, disconnect the wires, carefully pull all of the components off of the piano black trim (cup holder/ashtray assembly, COMAND dial control, climate control unit, and CD slot/button unit, and the three air vents), attach all of the components to the new wood trim, reconnect and reinstall it in your car. I had a computer tool kit with torx screwdrivers and plastic tools for unclipping clips and carefully prying up trim pieces.
Further, I made sure the connections were tight and lubed where necessary, and I have ZERO squeaks and rattles. The new trim seems better fitted than the original.
I did not change my door panel trim, as I like the brushed aluminum with the Burmester speaker grates.

Does anybody know how to disconnect the cigarette lighter plug from the back? Is it supposed to come straight out or is it an L shaped connector? I've already pried the little plastic clip from the top but the connector is still stuck right in there.
