Question about window replacement for GLE350
Hi,
Recently our new GLE350 was broken into through rear driver side window. My question is to whether go through the dealer or Safelite to replace it? Dealer quote is around $600 more than Safelite. I am worried if the quality of the job will be same or not.

Insist on OEM MB glass. My opinion is the installer (labor) shouldn't matter. If they screw it up, they get to do it again. No camera to calibrate with the side door glass, unlike the windshield. And no antenna or defroster, unlike the rear liftgate glass. Rear side door glass is probably the easiest to install and lowest risk on the car.
