Need some advice

Hi,
Am tossing this out to as many Benz forums I can find to see if I can get some advice on how to deal with an issue.

On April 7th this year, I built and ordered a 2022 Metris Cargo. I signed everything I had to sign, and put down a required deposit. Was more than aware of the time frame for new orders. Around Sept 1st, I called the dealer to get a status. I was told my order had "vanished" due to a computer problem at Corporate. Bottom line, I was not getting my van. I was told Corporate was doing nothing about this issue, and was told the dealership would do nothing about this issue. I was told my existing order could not be re-submitted. I could however do a new order, which we did build, and the price went up 5051.00

Will be drafting a letter to the manager of the dealership, and would like to include the fact that I have also sent out letters to regional personnel. Have not been able to find anything on google.


Am looking for recommendations on where to send out as many letters as possible to whatever corporate offices might serve the Boston MA area.

Am also interested to hear if anyone else has heard anything about a "computer issue" that caused new build orders in the system to vanish.

Sounds a little fishy to me that a company this size doesn't have orders on a backup system with a way to retrieve information. My experience with an E63s order was not pleasant, although I did get the car so better than what you are dealing with. My complaints to MBUSA and the dealer during the process got me nothing but aggravation. They literally seemed to be unmoved and couldn't have cared. After delivery I completed the survey which probably just made things worse with the dealership. We own four MB's and our loyalty to the brand seems to mean nothing and is taken for granted. I would be very surprised if your complaints get you anywhere. I've not heard of any computer issue and browse sites daily. I hope you get some satisfaction, but, would suspect your complaints will find deaf ears.

I agree that any letters I send probably will not get me anywhere. But, have been advised should I want to take this issue to the next level, I should have as much proof as possible that I did everything I could to resolve the issue.

And totally agree with "fishy", but would probably use more colorful language.

The letters may be of help for documentation. It is just so unnecessary to have to go to these lengths as a customer to get a little satisfaction. Really a sad testimonial to how the company is being"run".
