I bought a 02 CL600 from a dealer that is not MB dealer. Carfax and sticker on car indicates it was a starmark certified vehicle before. I want to know is, how can I find out what type of starmark warranty this car had, and if there are still warranty outstanding, can it cover me as I am not the original purchaser of the starmark warranty?

Thanks for any info.
Best I know is what I was told when I was on the fence whether to buy new or "preowned". If car is in original warranty period, the original warranty transfers. But, typically the Starmark warranty covers one year, out past the end of the manufacturer's warranty up to a max of 100,000 miles, and is not transferrable.
I have others tell me they've heard of 2 year Starmark Warranties, but no one has every told me the Starmark Warranties are transferable, regardless of length or mileage.
