MB could lower prices across the board
One of my cars has the fun little airbag recall. Every month I get no less than four post cards asking me to bring my car into the dealer (the dealer I would never, not EVER suggest anyone go to for service - Mercedes of Gainesville Fl).
If I call there, they do not have one and have no lead time on one. To that, I do not care. I have no interest in getting a new airbag in the car...and can not find a way to stop the post cards that have been arriving for the better part of two, maybe three years.
Maybe this is not MB money....I just dont get it and wish they would stop arriving. I figure each one of these total cost to send has to be upwards of $5.00.

... not without going bankrupt. It's probably a good idea if they make more G wagens and fewer everything else right now.

cards etc are required by law for serious safety recalls to ensure your car gets into the recall database and either work done or parts ordered for it.
If you do not go in, have them check and get in you in line for the next batch of good airbags to arrive you may never get one and when you sell your car worth less since Recall not done
And yes you should get this recall done when you can.
Reason for recall is when these bad ones go off there could be METAL SHRAPNAL inside that blows into your face chest etc causing bodily harm.
I for one would make sure this one gets done - but none of my cars have this recall

They could save even more by firing the CEO.
Funny they keep hounding you as I had the opposite experience. Got one popup message in MBUX for the BMS service campaign on my EQE SUV. Clicked the phone icon to schedule and it rang and rang and rang so I hung up. Never got another message about it again.
