2022 GLC Jolt issue during downshift/ High RPM engine running idle
Issue 1: Transmission Jolt at Low Speeds
- In November 2024, I reported experiencing a jolt during low speeds or when the vehicle downshifts at low speeds.
- The dealership informed me that they performed a transmission software update to address the issue.
- However, the problem has returned recently, and I am still experiencing the same jolt under similar conditions.
Issue 2: High RPM at Start-Up
- When I start the engine and leave the car idle, the RPM is consistently between 1,200 and 1,500.
- After 3–5 minutes, the RPM gradually drops to 700–800.
- This behavior seems new, as I don’t recall it happening earlier in my ownership of the car.
- I am from NYC and we are in winter season so I often let the engine run for about 10 minutes to warm the interior.

2. Higher RPM at cold start is normal but it shouldn't last 3 minutes
