Question Speed Limit Display Flashes and Give Wrong Info

After an "over the air" software update in early 2025 to my 2024 GLE450, the speed limit display (the graphic in the instrument cluster that looks identical to a speed limit sign) has not worked correctly about 60-75% of the time. It either continuously blinks on and off with the correct speed limit, the incorrect speed limit or dashed lines. At times it even goes blank and disappears all together. The other 25-40% of the time, it displays the correct speed limit and does not blink on and off. Worse yet, I have the Heads Up Display option on my vehicle and the same speed limit display malfunctions the same way in the Heads Up Display. A friend with a 2024 GLC, my brother, with a 2025 S550 and my sister-in-law with a 2022 GLE350 have the exact same issue since this same update. We all reside and drive our cars in the St. Louis area. Three of us have taken our cars into a Mercedes dealer to have this repaired and in each case the service advisor told us this is a known problem, and they were advised that Mercedes is working on a solution. We were told the same issue is also widely reported in San Diego and Sacramento California. But they also state, and we have verified, that this issue does not exist in most of the country. As soon as you get about 25 miles outside of the St. Louis area in any direction, the problem stops. This problem is not only a driving distraction and annoyance but could be a safety issue when Distronic is engaged and the vehicle relies on a suddenly incorrect posted speed limit. The dealer states the speed limit display cannot be turned off or disabled.

I am hoping to hear from others who have this issue to find out if you were able to solve it and/or what your Mercedes dealer told you is being done to correct it.

May I ask if you are in one of the cities Mercedes states it is limited to, which are St. Louis, San Diego and Sacramento?
