GL450 price compared
I just uploaded pricing for the GL450. My site provides quick, thorough price comparisons. It even adjusts for feature differences.

At first glance, I'm surprised the price difference vis-a-vis the ML500 is so small.
The data I was able to find seems a bit sketchy. Except for the rearview camera I don't know what the prerequisites for options might be. Based on other Mercedes, I suspect that the sunroof must be ordered with many options.
If anyone spots an error or omission, please let me know.

I've now driven the GL450, and an R500 for comparison. Very different. The GL is much harder to place in the lane, because you cannot see the lane boundary to your left. Otherwise I liked it a great deal. A link to my full review can be found on the page linked above.
One new question: anyone know if the Distronic is all-speed as in the new S-Class? It certainly costs enough.

Distronic should be dropped in price
since we now know with the arrival of the S (which obviously has ALREADY occurred) that this model has old technology when new has already been implemented.
I have no problems with that but the price seems way out of line on Version 1 of Distronic.

Changed my info to regular adaptive cruise. They do charge about the same for Distronic on other models. Just seems crazy when Toyota sells a similar system for $600. But if people will pay it...
Next thing you guys are going to tell me is that the Parktronic is only the rear, and not front as well.
