Got my GL last weekend.
Hey all, thanks for keeping me up to date on all the latest info on the GL since its announcement.
I’m happy to say that my wife and I took delivery of our GL450 last Friday night!![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
It priced out just over $67K.
Here are the specs:
Alabaster white
Macadamia leather
Premium 1 package – love the DVD navigation, power lift gate, and parktronic
19” wheels w/ optical off road package – looks cool, but I wouldn’t have paid for it if it wasn't on the one the dealer already had coming
Heating package – love it! Can’t wait for cold weather to come back
Sunroof
Trailer hitch
3 zone climate control – a bit of a pain when my 6 year-old keeps cranking it one way or another to blast the fan
Interior ambient lighting – nice touch, worth the price

Hey your car is sweet. I would reccomend getting the Xenon lights put in by MBenzNL when he can. They will make a night and day difference.
I love the Alabaster White on the GL. Its classic and makes a statement, like get the **** out of my way. I love it. You are my new idol man.

Congrats!
Please don't forget to post comments... fit & finish, overall quality, power, handling, etc. etc.
Yes, the wheels don't look good IMO. You think it's better than Cayenne (other than more seating space)? I have to ask this just because I had Cayenne before...

I'd assumed that the Appearance Package and ORP couldn't be ordered together, because features overlap and because low profile tires don't make sense off-road. But it sounds like you have both. Prices still 1100 plus 2200, or is the price of one reduced because of the overlap?
Also unclear is whether the ORP normally includes a different tire than the standard GL.

A couple more photos as requested...
jayj: When you say more natural settings are you meaning suburbia or off road? The ones I've included I took today when we got together with a few friends.
It's been rainy so I haven't had a chance to go totally photo happy.
Zoink: Didn't look at the Cayenne, only considered the ML, R, and GL.
mkaresh: 19" wheels w/optical off road package is what MB calls it. It's merely an appearance thing - bigger wheels and stainless steel skid plates, as I say, I wouldn't have selected it if it weren't already on it.

Wow, that's a lot of white MBs. The GL looks wonderful, and congrats on it. As MB Fanatic ssaid, I suggest you get the bixenons put in. They will make a huge difference.
As Dlau said, could you please post pics of the ambient interior lighting?
