Very nice. I just got my GL450 too. I passed on the Premier Edition as Black interior is not for me and my damn back always ask for multi contour seats. I got Capri Blue with lots of options (MSRP: $73000). Pictures to follow.
Question. Do you feel the jouncy ride after it lowers another 0.6 in at high speed mode? My GL does for some reason. It doesn't feel like it has air suspension during my drives at freeways I usually take. It bounces and rebounds more than I expected. I only have 19 in wheels.
Wonder if the standard AIRMATIC really has electronically controlled air springs as what their brochure says. Its confusing because this electronic feature seems to point to ADS, which is part of the Off road package. Otherwise, standard AIRMATIC may not have electronically controlled air springs and its only capability is the height adjustable self leveling feature.
Can anybody clarify the standard AIRMATIC.

Isn't that the truth! Those wheels and running boards are what really bring out the exterior. The Black Nappa leather should be an option too for regular GLs.

Looks awesome, mine should be here by the end of the week. Congrats.
P.S> The rear seat entertainment system.....does it have 1 or 2 DVD drives. Also, did you get the bluetooth thing for the phone system?

I haven't got the MHI Bluetooth Interface Module yet, but I'm planning to. I think $350.00 for an Bluetooth Interface is way too much. They should have just integrated right into the system like every other luxury car these days.
I hope you get your car soon.

Talked to my dealer this afternoon. He says, realistically I will have the car after the long weekend. I had him order the bluetooth adapter for me. He says that it worked out quite well for the GL's he has delivered so far. $350 is a bit, but finally MB has a phone system that dosent require you to buy their archaic MB phones.
Thanks for calrifying the DVD player for me. cause, MBUSA says it is a dual source dual screen thing.....but you are a better source as you have the car. Sucks that it is a pain in the *** to get to. I am likely never going to use it (no lil kids)....and if not for the premiere edition I would not have had this option.
My only gripe with the premiere edition is the lack of rear heated seats and heated steering. I would have loved distronic.....but this car is much lighter on the pedal than the G500. That car could tremendously benefit from distronic for highway cruising.
Overall the premiere edition looks and feels great (the nappa is awesome....I have it in my SLK 55 ..... and would never get a MB without it anymore), I traded the 05 G500 on this. I was planning on waiting till the end of the year for a S550 4matic, but the market was dipping on the G and this has pretty much everything I need for a people mover.

Looks surprisingly nice from the rear end for what is a huge 4X4 And its good that the Nappa came standard on the Premier...should be comfy!
Take care navigating that thing though...it is HUGE!

Did your Premiere Edition come with roof racks too? The ones that go over the top from side to side so you can actually put stuff up there?
I saw one with racks in chrome, I assumed they were standard, don't see them on yours in the picture.
