Depends where I'm going.

Bought. However, the finance guy that did the paperwork for the purchase was puzzled as to why I purchased vs leasing. Contrary to the responses here, I guess most people are leasing.

I would wonder why the finance guy is questioning your decision, since he's likely not intimate with the details of your own personal finances, and hence reasons for choosing one or the other, such as a $25,000 tax deduction the first year for a purchase.

You nailed it on the head! I miss the old SUV tax but I will take a $25k deduction any day of the week! Finance people are usually promoted from sales and know their stuff when it handling the paperwork but they know nothing about finances!
