GL320 CDI pricing on MBUSA.com

The "TBA" has now been replaced with "$53,175". Not nearly as much of a break as some expected off the V8 gas engine - ML320CDI was nearly $5000 cheaper than the V8.

I guess the configurator also confirms that GL320 CDI won't have Off-Road Package as an option. I really wanted the ADS - may have to reconsider the GL450.

The $53,175 must include freight. I saw a CDI at the dealership the other day and the base was $52,400...don't recall if freight was a separate line item. I am also wanting the Off-Road package...will have to consider that. I also noticed that "Verde Brook" is not listed on the color chart for either the 320CDI or the 450...but I've seen two 450's that color...really a pretty color.

Agree on Verde Brook...

My salesman (my recent E320 Bluetec purchase) assured me that verde brook would be available - for either 450 or 320. I hope he's right - gorgeous color.

Yes it is...i was debating between Pewter, Barolo Red or Verde Brook...saw Pewter and Barolo GL's and a Verde Brook ML all sitting right together the other day...decided Verde Brook was my favorite...especially when the sun hits it.

I was hoping that some of the colors of the Germany Built cars and/or the ML were available as special order on the GL...

I really dig the Granite Grey color that the E class comes in, and my wife really likes the Alpine Rain color that the ML comes in.

I asked my salesperson the other day about it. It does'nt sound like it can be done, but he has not said no yet.

If not, it will be Iridium Silver. The darker colors don't work as well here in AZ... In the summer, it gets pretty hot, but the main reason is that during the monsoon season, it will rain for maybe 10 minutes and then a dust storm will blow through... Basically making everything speckled.

There are actually a lot of folks that get the Desert Silver simply because it does not show any dirt.

I love the Granite Grey. Would also like either Flint Grey or Platinum Blue...but the only thing close to any of those is Pewter or silver...and not a big fan of silver. I understand what you're saying Danno about not showing dirt. I have a Pewter car now and it REALLY hides dirt well...can only tell it needs washing by looking at the windows or wheels.

Iridium Silver on new E320 Bluetec in AZ

Just got E320 Bluetec in Iridium Silver - also in AZ (120 miles south of you) - but I just can't get GL320 in same color!! Can I? Probably Pewter - but Verde Brook is very nice. But you're right - silver shows very little dirt.

Sure you can... We debated this as well... We have a silver Lexus and now we are getting a sil;ver GL... I also have a Yellow Jeep which mixes it up a bit. I think that the iridium silver is one of the best silver colors currently available on any car. I liked the prospect of getting Granite Grey or Alpine Rain on the GL simply because there were very few GLs out there (if any) that are in those colors.

In addition to the GL we were also considering the Land Rover LR3. They have a new color this year... Rimini Red... Really great looking color as well. To bad the only red available on the GL is that Burgandy/Cabernet color.
