Here's a photo of a ML in Verde Brook. It's a beautiful color...it's almost black, but has an olive greenish/brown metallic tint to it.

Thanks Taz...I like it! I saw a couple of other shots from a German owner in the ML threads...looks great when the sun hits it.

Yes, the sun hitting it just right really shows it off. I think I have decided to get this color...now if i can just decide between the GL450 and the GL320CDI

I have spec'd a GL320CDI...not ordered but in the configure mode. I had several diesels in the 80's and really want another one. Unless you are a power lover off the line, then the diesel seems the ideal combo for the GL.
That Verde Brook with Macadamia leather should be a nice match. The only thing I left off my list was the RSE and Heating Pkg...

i really would like to get the diesel, and have been waiting very patiently for it to come out. but now that it's out, it's come to light that it's not available with the off-road package. i'm an architect and travel quite a bit to construction sites and would really use the off-road package features. so that's my dilema.

A tough decision...I wasn't aware of that because I would probably never go off-road.

This is from another thread and is on an ML also but you can see the metallic effect when the sun hits it.

that's a great photo...very representative of the real color. it's a hard color to describe, and even harder to show up true in a photo...especially in the MBUSA "Build Your Own" color selection photos.

I note the MBUSA BYO green is the old green, not the VB. When at the dealer and he put in the old green to NetStar, it would not accept it and said not available after 12/01 production. It accepted the Verde Brook though. I can't understand why MBUSA cannot update their sites when there are changes in colors, etc.

Ahh...so Verde Brook is replacing Everest Green? In the ML BYO, Everest Green is gone and Verde Brook is a choice...however in the little photo, it basically looks black. But in the GL BYO, Everest Green is still shown as an option. I agree, why can't MBUSA update their website in a timely manner!? Damnit, don't they know there are people out there that OBSESS over this stuff? Um...I mean...so I've heard... :-)
