Remote Start in GL

Remote Start in GL
Has anybody installed OEM/aftermarket Remote start kit in GL?
I think this is a required feature, at least as an option. Please advice if anyone finds it in EU version.

I used to have a remote start in a Suburban. My wife loved it on cold mornings. I've always thought it was bad for your engine to start a cold engine on a cold day and leave it idling for an extended period. I know my Audi manual said not to do it, but I don't remember reading that in my E55 manual.

Too complicated. It's been asked before in the W163 forum. It's been said it's almost impossible. This is with the "old" swtichblade key system too, much less the SmartKey system.

i have discussed this in the ML or R forum. There is no remote start option for MB. They use a more sophiscated system called Stationary Heating. Here is a link on the info. http://web.mac.com/motorwerks/iWeb/Site/STH%20.html It's a lot more money but a much better system. It basically preheats the engine and uses very little fuel.

I have this option and cant live without it, workes fantastic and is worth every dime!!
