This is my second Merc. My first was a 1986 560SEL (used) that lived well past 100,000 until someone offered me more than it was worth. I always loved that car, but now to shell out nearly $70G for there to be a loose bloody hose, makes me worry about leaving Lexus products behind! I'm going to keep myself up to date on these forums for a while!

Tough break and a bummer for you and your wife with a new car. The hose was replaced with a new one somewhere in the production line but there is one case of a unit having a problem with the new hose but it had to be re-clamped. Once fixed it seems the truck is without a problem. Hope you can get it repaired quickly. Is your dealer Schumacher?
