What are those? I don't think my GL came with those. Do you have a part #? How much do they cost and how many do you need? Do they make them in runner style for 2nd and 3rd row?

According to MBUSA, they're not available in the US.

Here we go again.......This is not fair. Why does MBUSA deprive us of these options at their whim? Now I will never know what I am missing.

Let me guess you are using clear vinyl sheeting as a mat right now and the kind you have has "nibs" on one side to provide better grip. What do I win?
Ding, ding, ding we got a winner. You get to pick between a hug, a kiss or handshake at our meet.
Is there a mat for the 2nd row when they are down?

I ordered everything from Autosports catalog and they are most excellent. Their customer service makes me wish that they had an MB Service dept Seriously, they are just amazing and it is very refreshing to find a place like that these days. Plus everything is custom made to fit the GL.

Car is dirty but I can live with it.

I have 2 Berber mats for my fronts (pic 1 and 2 below). They quality is same as the original mats but no grommets unless you ask for them. I am sending mine back for grommets. No charge for grommets and they even sent me a shipping label so I can send the mats without any cost. Notice how the driver side mat has a flap that covers the "dead pedal" area. Factory supplied mats did not cover this. Also the passenger side front mat is longer than then factory supplied mats.

The 3rd picture shows the 2nd row mat which is made in a "runner" fashion so it covers the hump in the middle. The fit is just perfect. In the 2nd row there is a slight bump on the passenger side right next to the hump. This mat has just enough room to accomodate that. You can get 2 piece mats from 2nd row just like factory supplied.

The 4th picture shows the "tongue" of the 3rd row mat which covers the entry area. This mat gave me the most trouble when I was trying to figure out what goes where. But once I got that figured out, I was amazed at the thoughtfulness. Again this is also a runner style mat as you can see in the 5th picture.
Hi Oknish-

Resurrecting this thread as I lock-down on the mats I'm going to get. I'm leaning in the same direction as what you've got. Are all of your mats/runners the burber style? You note that the front ones are and the runners look like they are too, but want to confirm.

Thanks,
Voy

You know, I'm actually going to be out there this weekend with my family but probably won't be able to make it back out for the gathering. Would be nice to be able to thank everyone in person for the great info I get on these boards.

Thanks much for the invite.

I'm sorry, that's simply not acceptable. When you signed in to these forums, you agreed to travel at the very whim of every member of this board to whatever far away place they chose, just to twist your arm around patting yourself on the back for buying such a sweet ride. If you aren't there, you'll be forever banished to the "Failed to Attend" thread, where you'll have to spend hours looking at pictures of how much fun we had together, and just cry.

Aren’t you being a little harsh? I though we agreed we would just sacrifice his first born since this is his first offense.

NJ, either you have a real tiny chain saw or you have modified the jockey box to take up the whole passenager side. Which is it?

Does my profile say Newport Beach, CA? I'm actually in Newport, RI. Yes, and my home is off the grid somewhere- very difficult to locate. The only modern convenience I own is my GL550.

I love these boards

It's a new model, battery powered and on the cutting edge of technology. Very small but no job is too big. BTW...how tall are you...:-)

I suppose I should've x-rayed your funny bone before diving in like that but as 'Nish and NJ can attest to, if I'm off my medication I'm highly ADHD. Well, that and I'm very childish either way. Not child-like, child-ish.

Sorry, NJ. But "Chain Saw Murderer" just doesn't have the oomph. I will get used to it.

Don't worry about where you live. Good thing that GL has GPS. I am sure Jack can find you with ISA's help.

New Berber Custom Floor Mats

Hello All,

Just received these from Custom-Fit Auto Accessories. I had them make the MB logo a bit larger (6") than the standard 3" and they fit great. The original front driver mat didn't cover the left foot rest and the 2 piece in the second row that came w/ the GL didn't cover the center hump. The kids usually get out 1 side when I drop them off at school in the morning so it was getting pretty dirty not being covered. The third row fits very well also

Blync,

They look great! I particularly like the contrasting dark brown color to the Mac interior. Keep us abreast how they wear through the winter.
