Euro COMAND:anyone try this or interested in group buy?

The shop where this is sold guarantee it is plug-&-play with no reprogramming or activation or version code changes needed from dealer. Any one try this yet or interested in group buy for a better price?
This is my first US made Mercedes and I am a bit disappointed at the fit and finish overall. The car is a bit austere compare with my 2006 Range Rover HSE. But what the heck, its a kids wagon and the tikes will probably trash it and spill apple juice everywhere anyway. The US COMAND in this car is also a bit less ergonomic compare with the Euro COMAND I have in my S550 and previous E55. what does the group think?

the euro comand will not play movies straight out of the box. You will need additional hardware. Also the seller does not mention that you cannot use USA maps on a euro comand on the GL.

I am not sure if you are totally correct here. I had a Euro COMAND installed by Steve at MBenzNL in my E500 3 years ago and it use my North America DVD without any problem. However, Steve did do a lot of programming through the StarDiagnose during the installation. Also, at that time, I did not need any extra hardware. He just swapped the COMAND head unit. Now, mind you, that was in a W211 and now this is a R134, so I am not sure.

First, I wouldn't get this because I don't need to be watching movies while I drive. Second, I wouldn't buy from this seller because of all the caveats, disclaimers, and warnings.

OK, I have to apologize to SUNMAN. I just talked to Steve at MBenzNL and SUNMAN is RIGHT. The Euro COMAND for the X164 WILL NOT use US navigation disc as the nav DVD goes right into head unit vs. in the W211 and others where it goes into a seperate unit in the trunk. Also, i agree that I should website with all those warnings
