Ride Height Override

I was wondering if anyone knows how to override the airmatic ride height system to stay raised? I haven't quite figured it out yet but it seems that 40mph+ for a certain amount of time causes the system to drop down to the lowered level and as soon as you hit 50mph, it drops immediately. When I am in stop and go traffic, I like to raise the car because it's nice to see over traffic but the system always lowers me automatically during the brief moments when traffic lets up. I see the reason for lowering but it would be nice to override.

I have the off road package. Elevated to the highest setting it stands tall like a Hummer , don't think anyone would drive around on the streets like that.
If I RTFM correctly, the vehicle will lower itself even with the offroad heights engaged. I have yet to try & see.

EDIT Just looked at the manual again. If in height 3, warnings go off @ 20 mph, and vehicle lowers to height 2. If at height 2 & speed maintains between 40-55 for more than 20 seconds, it goes down to 1. If in 1 or 2 height & speed reaches 55, it goes all the way down.

Sorry - talking out my **** - as I am not in possession of my GL at this piont.

I'm sure you can get some dude from the hood to install some hyraulics and get all the height you want. It would be a pretty stiff ride though. The vehicle drops down for aerodynamics

Likely you could find some fuse that would overide the low-ride.

Sounds to me that you should be able to clip a speed sensor wire. Anyone have schematics?

And while you are at it, change the RSE wiring to plug your video feed (red cable on the MOST harness) to your head unit video display so you can watch movies while driving.

Not crazy at all, I performed this very mod on my 2007 GS350 without issue. I clipped the parking brake sensor wire and speed sensor wire that feeds the DVD player and now the nav screen plays DVDs while in motion. All I need are schematics and it will be done. DVD video on the GL's nav screen would be different though as the US nav screen probably has to be swapped out with the Euro system. As far as the ride height issue, it's just a vehicle speed sensor signal which can easily be clipped or better yet an inline switch can be added to trick the car into thinking that it is not moving and therefore not lower the car. Very easy hack once schematics are located.
