I am somewhat concerned that my rep has not yet given me an update since Monday. I know he is tracking my build and I was hoping it would be a day or two early like some of the 450's have been. But maybe the 320's are grouped together on the line and it is moving along as we speak...:-) If I don't hear by tomorrow PM I will be calling him.

I know what you mean.....I think there is a lot of "wish, hope, and surprise" in this whole process .... for the dealers (even though they are supposedly able to track the process) as well as for the customer. I've quit calling......it will happen when it happens......hopefully yours is heading for the "marshaling yard" as they call it and GLDriver and I will "pop out of there" tomorrow!

 

Yeah...it will be in the "yard" just as a tornado comes through the area (there is or was a warning up) and destroys over 200 SUV's...LOL

 

And I thought I was the only one who thought about that possiblity and checked the weather down there ............I actually know someone whose new Corvette was sitting in the "yard" when storms came through Bowling Green, Kentucky...........lots of hail damage to the cars.

 

At least there's no chance of a ship sinking with your vehicle. I understand this actually happened a few years ago. Can't remember the auto brand, but hundreds of cars were lost at sea.

 

Don't forget it goes by train from Vance to Denver...hope the railroad signals are all working okay...LOL

 

Found out that Thursday's are my reps day off so that may explain why I have not heard anything today. So maybe some time tomorrow I will get some information to pass on.

Still no VIN and build date was yesterday. Rep hopes to see a change in status Monday. Once a VIN is assigned it is ready to ship.

As far as your VIN is concerened, like a wise man said, "Come Monday, it'll be all right".

 

Yep, same here. I have the same build date as you, as of Friday afternoon, still B3 status, in production, I saw the netstar screen myself.

Maybe they are taking the time to do one last QC on the diesel batch before they ship.

 

Conversations I've had with my SR always sound like this "last week it was at code B3" (or whatever code ) so I wonder if the system actually updates on a weekly basis although the car's status could certainly change daily. I guess I should ask them...............alhough, as I have said before, I sometimes wonder how much they really know

 

I doubt that...:-) However my rep said he will have the shop forman check that the new hose is installed and recheck the clamps prior to delivery. When I leave that dealership I will have a 800 mile trip across some pretty baron Colorado, Utah and Nevada landscape and I do not want to test Telaide to report an intercooler hose problem...

 

Did that kind of thing with a new Corvette direct from the factory in Kentucky........brakein speed limited to 55 for 500 miles!!!! You can imagine the looks I got going 55 on the interstate!!!! Fortunately the car had no issues...............

 

I made the same trip in my S550 when I picked it up in Denver. Hit a blizzard crossing the mountains but did not concern myself with speed restrictions on break in...never have.

I won't take the GL to 90 but I will drive it in the 75-85 range most of the time...varying the speed during the trip home. There is nothing like a good, long break in trip to loosen up an engine and have it humming the rest of it's life...:-)
