Purchasing a GL in Dallas
Anyone have any luck purchasing a GL320 in Dallas. As you know we only have 2 Dealers (Park Place and Ewing) I want a car from Park Place and they want close to list. Any advice?? BTW....Any issues with the overall quality? I have a older ML and it is a POS.
Thanks

Right! Better opt for an in stock, or try to find a dealer that has an early build date available that you could get an put some options on. Try Ft. Worth. BTW, I lived in FW in the late 70's to late 80's.

Just bought a 450 from Park Place. Had to order and took only a month (they changed an allocated car). I dealt with all of the DFW Park Place dealerships and they did give different #'s. Ewing had the best price by a small margin but I went with the larger dealer network for (hopefully) better service options.
FWIW, the cars Park Place keep in stock are weak, equipment-wise - I'm looking to buy another MB and will have to order it too. They say that the more optioned cars don't sell as well. Maybe it is the Dallas penchant for wanting to look wealthier than you are? Or maybe somehow the margins are better on the cars the way they order them.

I was told 6% also (by Every dealership I contacted - including ones in lubbock, austin, san antonio and houston). I got about 3.5% (was about 1k more than Ewing). Standard "internet" discount is 3%. I had thought that I would have done better, but ordering the car and needing it here by this month may have impacted that some. I know people have done better with cars on the lot.
