Bought A GL450 -
Wanted to thank you all for your opinions and advice on the GL450. We happily signed the papers on our Alabaster White w/Macadamia Leather this evening. We will be picking it up this Saturday...
It's equipped with the following options:
Premium Package
Appearance Package
Lighting Package
Rear Seat Entertainment
Sunroof Package
Rearview Camera
It was MSRP'd around 67K but we were able to negotiate it down to 63K (supposedly $500 over invoice).
Will post pics this weekend

We couldn't use the MVP or ECN number on the GL so these guys felt bad and hooked us up. I;m sure I missed a few options but what are some must-have accessories. They are throwing in All weather mats for free, but anything else?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
We were ready to walk but finally Gary G came to senses and "okay'd" the deal we wanted. We were in a rush to replace the MDX so we weren't going anywhere else.
..maybe they should make hire me as a PR guy)...any how, anyone that needs a car in jersey area, PM me anytime for my guys info there blazinginder - ray catena is a great dealership but when i visited them, they didn't have time for my business. In fact we wanted 2 so we went to Dave Michael and got each truck for 1000 below invoice for an ordered vehicle of our choice of accessories.
Besides that, dealer will pick up my car from home, leave a loaner for all services and then will drop back as well. (as long as it is under warranty) .
I just feel that all dealers are same , good or bad. Go to the one who can save you money. but again, thats only me.

You are corrrect......they are! Their purpose is to make money, not friends.....however, if they make money on a deal ( and they always do ) and the customer feels good about the deal, then you have a "win win" In all the years I have been buying cars I have met only a very few owners, sales mangers, or sales reps that have any great legitimate passion or even knowledge about their product........but the owners and the sales managers can qoute the monthly numbers real quick! ......and it does not matter whether it's Chevys or MBs! I suspect that when you get into the exotics it might be different............but I'm not going to get to that level!
I told them I want a thorough walkthrough of the entire car, I mean from top to bottom, especially working the two TVs (putting my PS3 in there as soon as I get home)...
I will definitely post pictures. The GL with Jasmine (G35 Coupe) and Bruce (E320) and maybe a few with Athena (2005 Acura TL)...
I need to name the GL, what have you guys named yours?
...but can't beat the good old V8 grunt and torque
Guys, I will post up pics soon enough but man, do I LOVE THIS SUV OR WHAT!!!
Fav features:
1) Lighting package - love how they curve, wish my G35 Coupe did that!!
2) RSE - loads of fun but havent utilized it enough to validate the $2600 price tag yet
3) The engine - ****'s a monster and so quiet!!
Don't get me started on MBUSA and their handling of custom orders and delivery. My father ordered a 1946 Buick right after the war and waited 9 months for it. I am now approaching almost 5 months waiting on my GL over 60 years later. Is that progress or what...!
Congratulations.
I read your posts in W211 forum, (I have not visited the MBworld forums for a while.) I think GL is a good choice. (I bought a Q7 recently to replace my old E39 and I love it.)
