Finally :)

At last my SR called up and confirmed to pickup my truck on Wednesday.
Calls fro a celebration I guess
but I will wait till i get the keys in my hand ;DFor NJ and all other waiting, hang in there.
Will post an update on the delivery process...
Finally......! I'm still learning things about mine..........and enjoying the process!

. I never saw one with P1 running boards myself in a pictures either.
NExt thing I have to do is get rid of the plastic " Al-Cheapo " bumper plate..
my hands are already etching
BTW, SR emailed me today that mine has been released to a carrier. So, for the 3 hour ride from Vance to Memphis, shouldn't I be able to get it in the morning? Let's see some pictures as soon as you can!

As scheduled, i reached the dealership and this Sr hands me a sort of windows sticker and says" Here is your truck buddy !"
I look at the numbers and surprised because it is showing a few thousand more than what I had agreed to.
Then he started with the story that this IS your truck with the exception of RSE added by MISTAKE !!!.
This freeks me out because i am not a big fan of RSE and was fully devoted to installing an overhead unit. not to mention the additional 2500 I had to shell out.
So, I go back and forth with them for an hour and all they had to say was that my previous Rep who quit 2 months ago, had put rSe in by mistake, which I just could not believe. Anyway, I had 2 choices, take it or leave it with a new search for vehicle and lot of upset mood.
I am sure that they had my truck sold to someone who was looking for an exact match who was willing to pay more than I did. I am now more convinced since my b-in law had received his truck a few days earlier, even though we both ordered same day with same build date etc..
Considering the fact that we got good deals (1000 below inv) , they probably sold mine to someone and had this one coming on the way with an addition of RSE.
To cut the story short, I ended up getting this vehicle with the RSE (at invoice cost -500, basicaly Invoice - 1500 for vehicle ) since my patience had run out.
I must say though, with Black interior, RSE monitors have blend in very nicely . Truck is AWESOME but I have to really take my time and understand the controls
. Also noticed that the car pulls to the right ( very little but it does). I will have them take a look at it when I go pickup my plates.
It was raining heavily while I was on my way home so no pictures yet. Will definately take some good pictures during the weekend and post.
Wish all the good luck to everyone waiting delivery

I did not order the RSE and would have refused the car but I know that is difficult to do after a long wait. But my dealer provided me with the approved NetStar sheet showing the PO# and listing of all items on the car. The final build sheet is identical to it. I guess it could be chalked up to the change in reps but it sure smells funny. Glad you were able to work out a satisfactory deal.
Be wating to see the pics...enjoy!

2. What a "mistake!" With no kids.....or anybody else who would care.....RSE would have been absolutely useless for me. I would have been trully steamed after all that wait....and of course, since loaded vehicles are in demand, they could easily move it if you refused it. Glad you were able to work out something agreeable.........not sure what I would have done......probably made a few phone calls first!
3. The pulling to the right thing.........I could convince myself that mine does BUT it really seems to be road condition specific and so very slight AND I had a Touareg with the same big 18in wheels and wide tires and the wide tires and high center of gravity are prone to making these vehicles "wander".....Touareg did.... so, I don't know.........there is real pulling and then there is "what appears to be" I'm not concerned about mine.
Enjoy your ride
Congrats on your delivery and enjoy the new ride! I too perceive the right "drift" (from new) on mine although it seems to have reduced somewhat over 1500 mi. I'm waiting for the first tire rotaion to see if any change occurs and if not maybe have it aligned. I believe there have been others talking about this. Let's see some pics.
1. From an alignment shop that just did my alignment, said that the german cars drift right because of the crown in the US roads that doesn't exist in the EU roads... I don't know about that one.
2. The cars drift right as a safety precaution so that you are less likely to drift into oncoming traffic.

Kids in fact are totally in love with the DVD and I don't blame them

During my hour long drive, I didn't hear a word of complaint from them.. like 'I really need to go to the bathroom or I am hungry.. tired
" Wonder how those movies make them forget all that..I will for sure post the pictures this weekend. Next Item is to get rid of plastic plate( depends if the steel one would just slide in without the tape)
