Ordering a 320 CDI?

That's a much better answer than the "well, if you order a 320 you can expect delivery this side of never" which was cryptic to say the least - oh well, at least he's a darn good guy even if he was slightly wrong.

I've been hearing that orders placed now are expecting deliveries in 2-3 months. I placed my order in December and they are building it in July. Which feels like never to me. But it seems like MB is stepping up production of the 2008s so the long waits should be over.

Well, according to the one dealer I cannot order a MY2008 320 CDI because I live in Pennsylvania. Any credence to this claim when the other claims that it can be ordered?

I just looked it up and he's right. (Source: Erie Times-News, April 23, 2007) PA is enacting the same regulations as CA effective with 2008 models. So you need to either get a 2007 model (too late to order) or wait for the Bluetec w/urea tank, which I would guess will come in mid-2008 as a model year 2009.

Thanks for the responses guys - I appreciate it (and wish I was able to find that out on my own instead of bugging you guys ). I suppose I'll just have to pick up a GL 450 then if I can't find a CDI somewhere in this country.

From what I thought, the GL320 cdi is nbot available to purchase in CA, NY, VT or Maine. I did not know PA was also part of this list.
There are still GL 320 out there, though I have not concluded what a fair price should be.
