Got it! GL-320 cdi
Thanks all for your insights, suggestions and comments on the GL-320. Took delivery last Friday in Phoenix and drove back to Los Angeles. The car far surpasses my old Porsche Cayenne in every respect. It is absolutely quicker then my '06 R-500 and is quite and responsive.
Now I await the GL-420.

I still love that speedometer showing 130 miles per hour in your signature. That had to be quite a ride!

2007 GL 320 CDI, 2008 M5
I gotta say that it often feels like my GL320 is giving me better acceleration than my V8 LX470 did.
I absolutely agree with your comments about the GL 320 vs the LX 470. I traded a beautiful '06 LX 470 for a GL 320 for a better driving car and for easier carpooling with kids. It feels much peppier than the LX and the fuel mileage is literally almost twice as much. The LX was terrible for carpooling due to the awful way to put up/in/down/out the rear seats. It looks like Lexus did not fix the third row from the pictures I have seen of the new LX 570.
Congrats on your new ride. I love my GL 320 and am waiting in fear for the hose issue to drop on me.

I also had a LX470 when the new body came out. Had to fly to No California as the wait list in LA area was months long. The car was comfortable, but it was just not German enjineering. I always use the analogy of a seiko to a rolex. The Seilko is an amazing watch, but the precision engeneering is an art form. Same with the MB products.
The LX was just not fun. Left it for an ML 55 AMG, oh but that was several cars ago........

I almost went to Chandler, AZ since they had four GL320, 2 white and two blacks, but they are not my fav color. I already had a black ML.
