I couldn't resist
Sitting at the wine festival this weekend in Telluride (glorious weather by the way), I just couldn't resist enjoying ribs at the New Sheridan Chop House.
The wine snobs we're looking at me like "Puuuuleaaase".
I must say, there is nothing quote like having a really nice full rack of good ribs (nowhere near as good as what you'll be having next week) with an ice cold brew while temps hover in the low 80s.
Oh... by the way... the 14 thousand foot peaks don't hurt either in the scenery department.
Have a great time next week. Even after finishing off every finger lickin' good bite tonight, I still have a hankering

I got my iPhone today and called AutoSaurus on his way to Memphis...he has family there. I reminded him about the BBQ thing and he said he would get in touch with you and possibly join the party in his Q7.
Have a blast....:-)

If AS can join with his Q7, I will be honored to join with my R320, in spirits. I am sure Nish will bring up the RSE topic in between rib slabs. Yum, Yum !!!

Well ... ?
Here it is, after the BBQ meet - and BBQ meat! - and no photos, no reports? Everyone still recovering? I'm here sweating my ... eyes out in West Springfield and wishng I could at least cool off with a beer and some ribs. Let me live vicariously through you!
By the way, interesting stuff about the CAT diesel this motorhome has in it ... I'll post more when I get home.

The BBQ meet is over and time to report in. My experience has always been that the people you meet make the meet - and it was no different this time.
There was only one GL, mine - oknish's was back in CA. AutoSaurus didn't make it, family obligations, but even if he had, there still would have been only one GL. We forgot our camera so there are no pictures.
It is hard to take a picture of a GL in front of the Rendezvous because it's in an alley. Pictures would have been of a GL in a parking garage, and I bet you've all seen those.
The ribs were disappointing to me. Nish didn't seem to mind - he cleaned every bone! That's where the people come in... Nish has a beautiful family - a lovely wife and two of the cutest kids you'll ever see. Nish and I kept the conversation GL - the wives talked all things non-GL. Sure enough, Nish's son wanted to know where my TV's were!
We went over to the Peabody so the kids could see the ducks walk from the fountain to the elevator for their ride to their rooftop penthouse. (That's a Memphis tradition - my wife sat on the floor and watched them when she was 4.) Then, a taste of CA for our visitors - a wreck on the freeway on the way to the airport; traffic at a crawl for 1.5 miles. They were not so homesick for LA any more.![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
So, not a lot to report - except that I really enjoyed meeting Nish and his family. In that regard, it was a great meet!

And here is my side of the story since I am now back in LA LA land. Ribs were great especially for those on the west side of MS and meeting Boss and his wife was even better. They were gracious enough to drive 1 1/2 hours to meet us and then drop us at the airport and hey were brave enough to stick through the whole lunch while my one year old flung food for amusement
Peabody ducks and the taste of LA traffic were the dessert of the meet.
So, a fun time was had by all. And, yes, I did think of each and everyone of you while I was enjoying the ribs
