BTW, I'd like 51 last, and 55 second-to-last on a slideshow. If you can get one done. And if you want 800x600 instead of 640x480, just say the word and I'll replace those.

 

800x600 would be better and I will put something together.

Thanks anyway. I am a bit hung up on the ventilated seats, but I am trying to cope with reality. Maybe I will learn to just deal with it.

BTW, in the shots that Steve took, it appears that the 550 leather looks nicer that the 450 leather. Am I right, or does it just look that way?

Looking at it, it looks pretty nice. But I didn't do a direct comparison.

 

The 550 leather looks smoother that the 450 leather. I guess I need to see one in person. I went to a local dealership and didn't see one. I did not feel like talking to one of their distinguished sales staff, so I just .

No worries! It is a very impressive vehicle, and even though people talk about the cladding looking like it's just "put on," I think it really adds to the overall "largeness" of the truck. Plus the top chrome on the doors all the way back is exceptionally slick looking.

I didn't have time to ask to test drive it - I imagine as it's the first it'll be gone in a few days anyway. You've chosen one hell of a vehicle for yourself, my friend!

 

So much with laying low in this ride.. Oh well..Some people wear it on their sleeves

I drove a GL550 yesterday (it was sold). Very powerful and sure to be a gas guzzler! It looks great and the 21"tire/AMG wheel are especially impressive. Only other things I noted were the add-on fender flares and the chrome strip at the door/windo sills....its looks nice. The grille is massive and the Star is oversized, in my opinion....looks larger in person.
There are several FL West Coast dealers that have GL550's on their lots (St. Pete, Clearwater, and Tampa.

Nice shot! I agree it's not as subtle as the 320/450, it's much more identifiable as what it is.
