My 2007 GL 500
Here are some pics after installing chrome roof rails.
It's in the service center now to have the illuminated door sills installed.
Next stop: fender flares from the 2008 US spec GL 550

Technically, I'm not even sure if the flares can be added as the front bumper/end of the GL550 looks much different & one piece of the flares is attached to the front bumper.

To be honest, I'm not sure. You see, the US spec GL550 engine was actually launched everywhere else as a 2007 model, called GL500 & it looked just like the GL450. So all GLs have the same front end look in the rest of the world. In order to get the GL550 fender flares, I'd have to find the part number from a dealer in the US & order it as a replacement part.

I was familiar with the GL500 overseas and you are correct, the front bumper is a new one for the GL550 and there may be problems with the front end of the flare matching your bumper.
