Has anybody done a retrofit on the VCS system? I hear that a couple people have have it done through their dealer.

And, I believe dealers can retrofit VCS now. You kind of have to be persistent and get them the right part #, etc.

Yea, the last time I asked, they didn't know the part # and said that it could not be done.

ive done several vcs retrofits, mostly vehicles that the dealer does not have instructions for or have been told cannot be done... the dealers have a bulletin detailing the basic parts needed to add in vcs as well as some basic instructions. on some vehicles this is easier than others due to some vehicles having connectors on the microphone lines. otherwise there is some soldering involved. there can also be some SDS coding that needs to be done to get the newly attached VCS module properly working.

at any rate it can be done but it is a bit involved and not all dealers want to attempt it...
