Just a random thought, but in way it's like putting an ash colored cover in a macadamia interior. It just doesn't match, luckily there are other black things that make the interior balanced.

I agree. It's not that big of a deal, in my opinion. I intend to enjoy driving the car too much to let something like this bother me.

I doubt it. If anything, the manfacturer of the cover ran out of the color chips for it, which I highly doubt has happened.

Once again more support for a black interior! It always come back to black with cars. It's a sure timeless color for cars - inside and out!

Hey guys, I just checked in the electronic parts catalog. About 100 different light switches are listed for the GL550 4MATIC at www.startekinfo.com

For example with code 489 Airmatic DualControl/Semiactive Airsuspension, with code 808 for model year 2008, and with code 616 for BiXenon Headlight with Active Curvelight and Left Hand Drive, the part number is 164 545 32 04.

Then there are three color codes which are appended:

-7376 Alpaca gray
-8483 Buckskin
-9116 Black, dull

So the switch would be 164 545 32 04 - 9116 in black, and 164 545 32 04 - 8483 in buckskin. But the tricky part may be to get a parts department to actually order the part.

Good info! Which one did you subscribe to: https://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/subscribe2.jsp

the "NA Passenger Car" I assume is North America and the other one is for the ROW?

Thanks.

I signed up for the $20 per year option. In addition to North American parts, it also covers quite a number of ROW/Euro parts as well.
