My GL550 equip with the keyless go. On all
four doors.....unlike the S class that is stritcly by touch .
you have to depress the button to lock the GL from the exterior handle.

Great thread and congrats everyone on your new vehicle; I am jealous waiting until mid Oct.
We almost purchased the dual screen rear ent from MB but decided to go aftermarket. The main reason for this is that my 2 & 4 year olds had a hard time controlling, loading, etc. What I am getting for around $1700 installed is:
1. Top loading DVDs (on headrests)- easy from front seat
2. Two DVDs playing separately or both headrest screens playing the same DVD
3. Buttons are right on top of DVD player- easy to push from front seat
4. Easy to access front RCA jacks for video games (again together or separate)
5. Dual remote that can control one or both players
My wife insisted on this as she does not like to reach below the passenger rear seat to change DVDs; she has to do this now and hates it. She just might make me get these installed on my S550!

GL has an "Active Headrest Restraint" system which allow the front headrests to move forward, in case of a collision, to reduce risk of injury. Make sure that your aftermarket system will not interfere with that.

Yup, I have KG so I knew what you were talking about. You can not open windows and sunroof with the exterior lock button. For details go here http://www4.mercedes-benz.com/e/cars...AE.html#N168D5 and look under the Summer Opening section.
You can close the windows and sunroof using the exterior lock button.

That is great. Go with what works for you. Below is my standard disclaimer for aftermarket DVD systems.

So I wanna ask about c/s/auto modes... Sport seems stiff. Comfort like a limo ride and that works best for carrying around family IMO.. Now is auto the mode when no green lights are on on c/s button?? Is auto a good combo mode?? What do people think about the auto mode??? My favorite thus far has been comfort mode... I love the non-trucklike feel - it's amazing this beast can just float down the highway at 80mph+...

Cant really see a big difference between auto and comfort.
You say that your lights are green when in either s or c ??
Thats funny because mine are red???
