Rear deck lid opening ??

Rear deck lid opening ??
Being a former Range Rover owner prior to purchasing the GL550.
One of the biggest things that I miss believe it or not ,
Is the ability to open the decklid (rear tail-gate window) to just toss a small package or bag in.........
Having to always open the elec-liftgate is a little time consuming.
I really cant believe they left the GL shy of this feature??
Anybody else feel this way?
Wondering if we can add this after market anyway??

My wife has a HSE and I know what you mean, but on the GL I just use the remote or open from inside and by the time I get around back it's open, throw in the stuff and push the button and it's latched before you're back in the seat. One thing with the RR hatch I hate is the way it slams down so hard it sounds like it's gonna break unless you gently push it closed and forget that with kids.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. After 10 minutes of b ball in the driveway with the kids that's just where I head to for a "diet coke" break. The RR is good for something I guess.

I am in absolute agreement that the highest and best use of a Range Rover product is as a stationary observation post. (You know, a stool.)
