I agree with Jack in that the ground effects and funky fog lights don't do a lot for me either, but those Brabus Monoblock wheels (E's and S's) are really good looking wheels..........

What the deuce? They've effectively removed all the styling cues that make the GL stand out from other similar models, while adding stuff that makes it look like a Transformer toy. What's with the round tailpipes? Why the double fog lights?
Ahh, well, I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.

My $0.02 worth - I saw a GL with Brabus body kit very similar to one posted in this thread. I even posted pics of it. To me the look wasn't that great especially for the 35K it was going to cost to do it. It gave a "lowered" look to the car and made it unusable for any offroad use.
I do like the lights below the doors. Kinda cool, in my cheesy opinion

Taste
Some people seem to feel that their taste is "good" and all other taste is "bad." Well it just doesn't work that way...
I like #1 .... some like #2. What has Brabus done for whatever outrageous price they charge to improve on the original. I for one do not see anything special in driving around in a blacked out GL with the name Brabus on it.

I think the Brabus version is nice - it just has a "tuner" look to it. The stock GL550 is an attractive SUV without any mods.
It is possible to like the Brabus *and* the stocker. Some of you guys get your skirts twisted too easily over other people's opinions.

Everytime I go to an auto show and see Brabus or Lorinser mods (which are about the best around for MB) I have a tough time seeing why any one would actually pay money for them and I have to keep telling myself its a matter of personal taste.

Clearly people like the Brabus models as they sell, and so do the "stock" models. So yeah, good taste or bad taste, if it's my taste it's good taste, if it's anyone else's taste it's bad taste - that's how everyone feels!

OMG......Is that the new GL 10050??? It is so Phat and it even has Water tread tires. What size rims are standard on that? I can't see them since they are under water. I bet you that thing has 50s on it. Are those tires snow certified, does anyone know? And, I love the surreal inky black color. I wonder if they will sell for MSRP or invoice? Maybe I should put a 1MN deposit down now to make sure I get the first one in SoCal. Most important, are those guns Brushed Chrome or Stainless Steel?
