capri blue, anyone?
Hello all...new member, first post!
I think the GL550 is the sport ute for me...even though I have never actually seen it in person or driven it...lol. Hard to find in far Northern CA.
I've been browsing the forum and it's great--lots of info and I love the pics.
I can't find any pics of capri blue though! Can anyone direct me to the right place or be kind enough to post a pic? GLs are so rare in my area I will never see colors in person.

Capri Blue looks almost black if you are not in direct sunlight......in the direct sun, it looks like a deep royal blue..........almost like the old bottles of blue ink.

Can't offer pictures yet...my Capri Blue/Ash 320 builds on Monday. Saw many in Capri Blue at dealers and chose it since it looks so rich....but haven't seen one with Ash interior, so looking forward to seeing it.

My capri blue is built and reached the dealer today. Now, we have to figure out the logistics of getting it here to Florida from NC. I originally had a 10-02 build date. Seems that things are moving along in Alabama!![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I was wondering where you were, Jen. Hope all is well and welcome back. And, I concur, Capri Blue is extremely rare to see on roads. Around here in LA, it seems every GL is Black with a few White thrown in. Very occasionally I will see a Silver or Pewter. Barolo red and Verde Green are almost non existent.

We took the motorcycles to Fresno for a state rally. Got hailed/sleeted on Friday on our way from Oakhurst back to Fresno. Not a problem in the GL, but we were on the motorcycles which wasn't much fun.
We did not see any GL's on our 600+ mile ride over three days.

NEWBIE 2 MB and BLITTLE....
How do you like it with the Ash interior? Haven't seen any in that combination. They are building mine today.....as we speak....and can't wait to see the color combo when it gets to me in a week or so.

I really like my ash interior, although it does show every spec of dirt. I've developed a routine to clean it with the Griot's Interior cleaner every couple of weeks.

Did MB modify the color chip for Capri Blue for the new models? I've seen a couple of new Capri Blue ones here and they have a deeper, richer blue than mine. I also don't notice as much of the "ghetto purple" (LOL) compared to mine.
For the record, I think the blue/purple looks quite nice in the right setting. MB was close to making Capri Blue a pearlescent type paint rather than metallic!
