Actually, not funny at all.

The only surviving member of his family is his sister (83 years old) in South Carolina. She called with unfortunate news a couple of weeks ago and being the man that he is, he knew the right decision was to skip the meet and head out to be with his sister who had surgery today.

As many of us know, things can change fast when you are up in years and plans are many times disrupted. Such is the case here and I know how saddened he is to miss the meet. But, he did the absolute right thing by caring for his sister in any way he could.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Not sure what the comment was meant to say but NJ is a man of integrity. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to meet up with him (again) on his way home next week. Safe travels and well wishes to your sister.

Glad to hear about the sister, NJ. I join others in wishing her a speedy and full recovery and hope your trip back home is as safe and fun as trip down.

When you get back, you have to plan the '08 meet. And, I will fly your sister to LV to be with you for that one

Jack,

Best wishes to your sister for a continued speedy recovery, and to you for a safe journey home. You certainly chose a great vehicle to while away those highway miles!

Sorry that my comment was so ill received. NJ I agree that nothing is more important than family and I'm glad your sister is fairing well...

+1001 I don't know NJ personally other than what I read here, but never question someone looking after their family! That's what real men do!
