Oil Level Low?! -
10K miles later and I need to check my oil level for it's seriously low? Anyone else experience this?
I'm headed to Woodbury Commons for Black Friday at 1 AM Thursday night/Friday morning. I was exhausted from the food and alcohol so I let my girlfriend drive. She awakes me telling me we need gas and that there's a message of some oil level low. We pull into the next gas station and pop open the hood. The douche drops the cap in the front end somewhere so it took me 30 minutes to find it in the dark. Nevertheless, he has only LukOil and no Mobil 1. I figured let me fill this up a little bit since my Service A is coming up in 20 days. But has this low oil level prompt come up for you guys at 10K miles? Isn't that a bit weird?

on a gas engine, yes, sounds a little odd to me, unless it was borderline when you got it.
My low oil level light came on my diesel at 1/4 qt low.... that sensor is pretty sensitive.
