You can control from the Command screen. It allows you to configure how you would like to "browse". All Songs, By Artist, Album, Genre, etc. Then on the Command screen you can use the joystick to the "side" to change the category and the joystick "down" to change the song.
The info screen above the steering wheel only list track info, which doesn't really matter to me since the command screen has all the info. You can still change the tracks using the steering wheel, which is important to me.
As I said, you do lose the cd changer functionality but I think this is a good trade-off for me. I don't know how the stock ipod adapter works but from the way it is described on this forum it sounds very cumbersome.
