I had lunch today in LV with MJH (CL owner who frequents this board.) Had a great time talking about all of your GL's posts. Mary's husband and son joined in the feast and all will depart tomorrow to return to the LA area.

After lunch I took them for a tour of Summerlin but it was really a test drive to compare with some other SUV's (since they well know how the CL drives...:-) I think they were impressed and we may have a new certified GL owner sometime in the future.

This forum continues to amaze with the friendly relationships that have developed in the past several months.

 

There was a micro meet in Fresno today between oknish and LeoSophie. My craptop is dead but pics will follow.

It was a delight to meet LeoSophie and I got to drool on a 550 again.

 

The delight was all mine. I will ring you when I get back to LA.

 

Jack - Glad you got to meet up with some forum folks & hopefully, we'll see some new GL pics from Mary.

Nish - I'm jealous of the meet; my assistant is on vacation this week and since we're a 2-person department, I had to be in the office. Wish I could have joined you and met Leosophie.

We had a great time with Jack in LV. He was very gracious and took us on a tour of his "hood". In my case, he was preaching to the choir about the GL550 but I wanted him to use a full court press to help persuade my hubby. Once again, Jack comes through!!! Bill (husband) is now seriously considering buying a GL!! We would want to wait for the new year model ('09..'10?) or for the best time to get one so as to have all the new/updated features. There you have it, folks. I was having a great time!! Hmmm...I wonder what color I should get??? bwahahahaha

Hey Jen!! Don't worry... if we get a GL I will definately be out taking pics to post 'till my shutter button finger fails

I do have to admit that I saw LeoSophie coming away from a 1/2 mile away. All that chrome and the big star made it very easy to spot him.
